I'm obsessed with Polaroids at the moment but film is waaaaaaay too expensive! I am going to buy a new Holga/Diana because I left my other one in storage as well as a digital SLR and a disposable, maybe an underwater camera too for when I get home!! I love seeing the different effects created by each camera, but polaroids are my favourite. I think it's because I like the feel of creating a real image instantly- as a person interested in graphic design image making is so exciting. The physicality of design is hugely important so this medium of photography really appeals to me. Also polaroids are printed in an immediate layout, another love of a graphic designer! <3 <3 <3

Bring back mass polaroid film production or alternatively someone buy me some polaroids!!!

How creepy/exciting: YOU could be pictured on this elephant!

Scribbles I thought were really cute on one Elephant but didn't like the overall look of it

For the past 2 weeks I have been working at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships- I had to wake up at 5.30 AM every day!! So when I got home at 4 I was ready for bed, never mind traipsing around London. However I did manage to meet up with my Aunt for an afternoon and visit the Elephant Parade at the Royal Hospital Gardens. These oversized elephants were once dotted across central London and now have been auctioned off in aid of Elephant Family to try help to protect the endangered Asian Elephant. There were so many fantastically designed elephants it was hard to pick which ones were my favourites.
One designer's name in particular, Thammakit Thamboon, kept popping up as I noted down my favourite elephants. Some famous designers decided to have a crack at the elephants too; Diane Von Furstenberg, Alice Temperley, Lulu Guinness, Julien MacDonald, & Tommy Hilifger.
I wish I could have bought one but unfortunately I don't think my Wimbledon salary could have covered the cost of an elephant toenail!
